Image Collage in Photoshop

How to turn this ---------> Into this

1. Open your image and rename it as layer 0

2. Go to palette and check Rectangular marquee Tools (Ctrl M)
Make selection to which area you want to make collage.

3. Press Ctrl J to make a duplicate layer from area that already mark with Marquee Tool

4. Continue doing this to other area that you want to make collage.

5. You can reduce opacity layer 0 to see marqueed area.

6. Now it's time to make a the marqueed area visible. you must select each layer to do it so.
Begin from layer 1, go to Edit ---> Stroke and you can adjust the width and make sure
location of the stroke inside. Do the same way to layer 2 and 3

7. After completing the stroke, now press Ctrl+T to make a free transform for layer 1,2 and 3

8. Now let's warp this area to make it like paper collage. switch this free transform to warp modes by clicking this button on the top right toolbar

9. Let's do some effect to this layer (1,2,and 3) by droping a little shadow on the layer

10. For final job, you can change the background layer (layer 0) by changing hue/saturation of that layer.

In this video you'll see how it's work (taken from courtesy of Photoshop TV)
